Bouvier

Bouvier is an early-ripening white variety; VIVC gives its parents as Pinot and Muscat à petits grains and its country of origin as Slovenia. Of its 220 ha in 2020, 189 ha are in Burgenland, mainly around Lake Neusiedl. It has low acidity and a light muscat tone; it is popular for Sturm, the partly fermented new wine of autumn, and for nobly sweet wines.
