Neuburger

Neuburger is an Austrian white variety; DNA analysis cited by VIVC identifies its parents as Roter Veltliner and Silvaner. In 2020 it covered 409 ha, down from 507 ha in 2015, mostly in Lower Austria (287 ha) — the Thermenregion and the Wachau — and in Burgenland (105 ha) on the Leithaberg. The wines are full-bodied and mild in acidity, with nutty notes, and develop well with age.
